About Gold Desk
Gold Desk is a small, free set of tools for people who trade CFDs on gold (XAU/USD): the US events that matter for gold in your own time zone, honest risk math, and plain statistics about when gold usually moves.
Why it exists
Most gold traders lose track of time zones, forget a CPI release is due, or size positions by feel. These are simple, fixable problems. Gold Desk fixes them with free tools that don't try to tell you which way price will go.
What we don't do
- No signals, trade ideas, price targets or market-direction calls.
- No profit claims, testimonials about returns or "get rich" content.
- No personal advice. The calculators do arithmetic; the decisions are yours.
Who runs it and how it's paid for
Gold Desk is part of ProTrader Reviews and is run by its owner, an introducing broker (affiliate) for AvaTrade. If you open and fund an AvaTrade account through a link on this site, AvaTrade pays a commission. That's how the site is funded. It doesn't change any number on the site, and you're free to use every tool without opening any account.
Where the data comes from
- Economic calendar: official release schedules from the Federal Reserve Board, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the US Department of Labor's weekly jobless claims schedule.
- Session statistics: computed by us from free XAU/USD 1-minute bars published by HistData.com. We only show averages we calculated; we don't republish the raw data.
